Racing Update
Recently made some changes to the bike. We just finished the bike today. My father-in-law is an expert mechanic when it comes to japanese inline 4s. For the details of what we did, go here:
Tomorrow is test and tune at Pittsburgh Raceway Park and the points begin next weekend. I’m not too hopeful as the weather forecast looks rather wet. But here is what the track has to say:
Sunday, May 3 — Due to the weather forecast, we are changing the scheduled regular race day (without points) to a Test N Tune w/ Gamblers Race.
Gates will open at Noon, Test n Tune from 1PM to 5PM. Racers $25 / Gamblers (additional) $20 / Spectators $7 / Carload $20 / Kids 10 & Under Free. The Gamblers Race will start after 2 rounds of time trials. Those who do not want in the Gamblers Race can keep on testing.

Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure
Posted by Matt in Family Life on April 13th, 2009
My wife needs your help:
Dear Friends and Family,
I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure® on May 10, 2009 in the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The pledges I raise, will allow the Pittsburgh Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to continue to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure.
Please join me in the fight by pledging in support of my participation in this year’s Race or contributing generously to the Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure®. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in our region, and fund the National Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer research program. It is faster and
easier than ever to support this great cause – you can make a donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.
If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. Whatever you can give will help!
Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against
breast cancer! Every step counts!
Sincerely,
Tabitha Wybiral

Google Street View…. oops!
Posted by Matt in Family Life, Humor on April 10th, 2009
There’s a lot of neat stuff to be seen on Google’s Street View. In fact, there is a website called googlesightseeing.com dedicated to all the wonders found in google maps and street view. I found this on the CNet Webware blog. I thought this was particularly neat for a few reasons. #1. It’s in Pittsburgh near me. #2. I know where it is. #3. My dad and I used to walk through that tunnel every time we went to a Steeler game at the ol’ Three River Stadium.
Here’s the google street view car approaching the bridge:

Here’s the google street view car after contact:

Here’s the google street view car repaired:

What’s also interesting in the last photo (immediately above) you can see the google street view car approaching a brick building. The Clark Building, located in Pittsburgh’s North Side, is the former home of the D.L. Clark Company. Maker of the Clark Bar and the Zagnut (my favorite).

Check the Clark Bar link for the history… Another interesting note, the Clark Bar got sold to NECCO and Zagnut (also once made by Clark) got sold to Hershey.
Any story that makes me think of yummy candy and good times with my dad is definitely worth sharing on the blog.

Just discovered a new favorite website…. This is Photobomb.

It rates up there with failblog.org and Picture is Unrelated.
